Return Policy

This policy addresses refunds, returns, and cancellations for the services and products offered by Georgetown Music Sessions (including "The Guitar Shop").

1. Retail Merchandise Returns (The Guitar Shop)

This section applies to physical products such as guitars, amplifiers, and merchandise.

  • Standard Returns: Products may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange, provided they are in new, unused, and resalable condition with original packaging and receipt.

  • Defective Items: Defective items will be repaired, replaced, or refunded based on the item's manufacturer warranty.

  • Exceptions/Final Sale: Items marked as clearance, opened accessories (e.g., strings, reeds), opened media (e.g., sheet music, books), or special/custom orders are considered Final Sale and cannot be returned.

2. Music Lesson Cancellation Policy (Services)

Payment for lesson packages is for reserved instructor time, not attendance.

  • Cancellations: A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for any lesson cancellation or rescheduling. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged as a standard lesson.

  • Refunds: Payments for lesson packages are generally non-refundable. Missed or canceled lessons (with 24+ hours notice) will be offered a makeup lesson or credited to the next month's tuition at the instructor's and student's mutual availability.

  • Instructor Cancellation: If an instructor must cancel a lesson, the student will be fully credited or guaranteed a makeup session.

3. Rehearsal Space Rental Cancellation (Services)

  • Cancellation Notice: 48 hours' notice is required to cancel a booked rehearsal session for a full refund or credit.

  • Late Cancellation: Sessions canceled with less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours' notice will incur a cancellation fee (e.g., 50% of the booking fee).

  • No-Show: Rehearsal no-shows (less than 24 hours' notice) will be charged the full rental fee.
